Non woven bag has now become more and more popular in Singapore retail industries. If we go and walk along Orchard Road which is the most famous road in Singapore with it’s name in shopping and other shopping centre, we can easily see peoples are carrying non woven bag after they bought something. This is totally different from before where paper bag are dominant the market.

Shopper are now accepting non woven bag and in fact according to most of the retail industries research, shopper normally ask for extra non woven bag after they bought something. This is a good sign as non woven bag is environmental friendly as compare to paper bag. Paper bag is made with paper. We have to cut down the tree in order to make paper. But once the trees have been cut down, most people will not make any effort to re plant it. Except now the Europe there are some big retail shop start to use emphasize on this issue and require their paper bag supplier to used FSC paper to do their paper bag.

Since non woven bag is made from petrol, or we can call it mineral naturally given to us as human from our mother earth, it is a good thing. Singapore government are also very positive in non woven bag. They actually encourage retail shops to use non woven bag instead of paper bag eventhough sometimes they refer it as eco bag. Singaporean seem to like non woven bag very much. They enjoy in carrying them when they go out. We can see this very easily when we are in MRT of bus station.

Indeed non woven bag is a very good shopping bag. It can made into many type of shape. You can make it round, square, triangle or rectangular. You can even print pattern on the handle or use other material like woven or nylon to make handle so that it look more special. You can now see a lot of different type of non woven bag when you walk in shopping centre. Even now the printing effect also have many choice. The previous silk screen printing can now print like off print printing on non woven bag. You will be very surprise when you see them.

Printing technology on non woven bag has evolve very fast in this few years because of it’s popularity in the market. Beside doing a silk screen printing, we can now do full colour offset printing with gloss or matt lamination on it. Besides that, we can also do a direct printing on it using dye-sublimation printing technology. It look very close to normal offset printing and very nice. It is like you print your own photo on your pair of jeans, you can image how nice is it. However the above mentioned dye-sublimation printing is pretty hard to do. We need to print it on a piece of paper first then we transfer it with heat on to the non woven bag surface. The most challenging part is the colour, it will be normally no as accurate as compare to normal paper bag off set printing. Some colour might also change slight during the process. But the overall result still look very good and therefore there are still a lot of retail shop like to use this type of non woven bag.
